During my lunch break yesterday I cruised down to Town Lake Animal Shelter and picked up Baxter. He's not fixed yet due to a case of Kennel Cough. Pretty common in pound dogs. He's not taking his medication well, but that's to be expected. He cried a little last night. I haven't heard him bark yet, but I'm not complaining!
So far his favorite place is under my chair while I'm working. He just curls up and falls asleep. A very good dog.

Wonder how many times you'll crush his ears with your chair before he finds a new place to hang out. Also you should probably get his sense of smell checked out. Cause if he likes to hang out under your chair, he's either sick in the head, or can't smell. And as for being a good dog, he's just feelin you out. Once he realizes that you are a sucker and will let him get away with lots of stuff, he'll start bossing you around.
wow, I just found a new name for the stuffed animal I've been training him to chew on. It's now called Arash. "Go bite Arash". Can't wait for your visit, you may wish to change your name....
Weird thing -- all his life, Jared used to come lay under my chair (or as close as possible) when he was feeling a bit lonely. They would probably sit on our heads if they could manage it! :-)
Congrats on the new buddy! He sounds like a keeper.
